Lightning Talks

Learning objectives:

• Public speaking
• Engaging with a new topic
• Being an amateur (ego work)
• Giving and receiving feedback

Format

• 3-5 minute presentation
• Don't use any notes during your talk
• Only use the whiteboard for visuals (no slides)
  • Can prepare the whiteboard before your time starts
  • Should not write your notes on the whiteboard ;)
• Will have 2 feedbackers for each talk

Guidance

• Try to have (and communicate) a clear outline of 3-5 topics
• Rehearse your talk a couple of times before you deliver it
• Timebox your research to a couple of hours (don't overdo it)
